Content Producer (temporary position)

Arbetsbeskrivning

Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.
Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

What’s in it for you?
People who make a difference are the driving force that has built one of the most recognizable brands in the world. We are now looking for change makers who think about communication opportunities in exciting and different ways – creative and critical thinkers who want to change the world with us at Volvo Cars. You will help shape the news and information flow within Volvo Cars and to consumers and external stakeholders driving strategic alignment internally, brand awareness and engagement and ultimately supporting the growth of the business.

What you will do
As one of our team members is going on parental leave, we are looking a Content Producer who will independently produce or lead the production of copy, film and photo assets for all corporate communication needs targeted at both internal and external audiences. Most importantly, you are a clear and confident copywriter who can quickly turnaround engaging but informative articles.

You assess the stakeholder brief, understand communication gaps and back-briefs as necessary to clarify all parts of the brief. Moreover, you drive your own projects and, when necessary, utilize teamwork and the broader expertise within the Content Team to ensure that every brief is delivered on time and to the high standards expected within Communications. Working across multiple business areas, liaising with communication strategists, project teams, project leads and other stakeholders throughout the company is important to be successful in this role.

Another important part of this role is to be able to support other members of the Content Team when required and the other groups within Communications when necessary. Some days you are working independently, other days alongside your Content colleagues, as well as directing external production agencies.

Qualifications
•    Degree in communications/journalism/media
•    Minimum two years in a content production, journalism or copywriting role
•    Project management experience
•    Experience in photography and/or film production
•    Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
•    Excellent writing and proofreading skills in English
•    Fluency in a second language is a plus

Competence and experience are important, but personality and potential are key
We believe you are a natural storyteller with a couple of years of experience in producing content. You eat high-workload-flakes and short-deadlines-on-toast for breakfast. You can lead multiple projects at any one time. Your extremely high level of attention to detail has the potential to annoy others. You’re organised, team-focused and proactive. Challenges excite you and no hurdle is too big. Camera skills – film or still – and/or proficiency in film, photo or design software are strong merits.

How to apply and connect
Is this you? Do not wait with your application! We will start the recruitment process immediately. We welcome your application by March, 7th, 2021 at the latest. For further information, please contact Senior Recruiter lotta.ericsson@volvocars.com. Due to GDPR we do not accept applications over email.

Please note that this a temporary position between the 1st of March (or as soon as possible) and the 31st of December 2021.

Change is coming. Are you with us?
