Arbetsbeskrivning
At Viaplay Group, we entertain millions of people every day through our streaming services, radio networks, TV channels and production studios. We believe in the power of content not just as a way of telling stories and touching lives, but also expanding worlds.
We’re looking for the best people to join us on our journey. Right now, we’re searching for a Content Protection Coordinator in our Stockholm office - are you ready to hit play on an exciting career change?
The role
The Content Protection Coordinator’s main task is to establish a structured process to accomplish adequate content protection according to the value and requirements of the content, including both VOD and Live sports content. This process includes the identification and mitigation of important risks. The work entails coordinating all work within Viaplay Group, both day-to-day operational tasks and long-term objectives. Also, it involves engaging key stakeholders in strategic decisions, important risks, prioritization, and financial decisions.
In this role, you will collaborate with teams in our product, data & tech department along with our legal, commercial, and content functions. Additionally, you will be instrumental in dialogues with external parties and partners.
Some of your daily tasks will include:
- First point of contact for internal and external errands regarding content protection
- Management of the take-down process through the DMCA notice-sending practice and other analogous legal routes to disrupt the availability of online pirate content
- Liaise with our vendors on take-down requests to pirate sites and gather data on pirate streaming sites, cyberlockers, and other pirate platforms
- Monitoring piracy trends, including take-down and demand data
- Investigating the piracy landscape and conducting deep-dive investigations of certain piracy services based on risk scoring
- Coordinate and negotiate reasonable contracts with rights holders and distribution partners regarding content protection
- Handle, evaluate and strive for improvement and efficiency with regard to piracy protection and related incidents
- Establish an all-encompassing risk heatmap and manage suitable internal forums to present identified risks and recommended courses of action
- Establish and manage suitable external cooperation that efficiently supports the content protection area for Viaplay Group
- Influence future prerequisites within the content protection area affecting Viaplay Group
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will have carried out a similar role at another company and can hit the ground running. We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least some experience in the following:
- A people-positive doer with the ability to communicate clearly and reach consensus and commitment around the initiatives that we should engage in to combat Piracy
- Knowledge and hands-on experience about the piracy landscape and the threats the entertainment industry faces in relation to copyright infringement
- Documented experience doing online investigations using multiple data sources
- An analytical skillset with the ability to combine different data sources to create data-driven insights
- Knowledge about the content workflow, from production to a user's device
- The ability to define goals, build a strategic roadmap, create clarity, and organizational engagement around this
- A curious mindset and a positive attitude towards problem-solving. You aim for something better and question what we take for granted
- Experience working on both an operational and a strategic level
- A general interest in technology and systems, understanding that tech plays a key role in the way forward
