As Content Writer, you are tasked with telling the stories of Volvo Cars, our people and everything linked to our business. Through creative and engaging storytelling you will support the Communications department, deliver written material and research, as directed by project briefs. You may also assist on film and photographic projects when required, with plenty of opportunity to develop skills across all these disciplines.

We believe you have experience in an editorial, agency or brand communications environment and that your research skills are excellent.
To succeed in this role, you will relish the challenge of turning complex subject material into succinct and impactful copy. You are capable of managing the demands of a high workload, a fast-paced environment and short deadlines. As you will be assisting in various project, you need to be team-focused, highly proactive and driven.
You have a sound understanding of the workings of international media organisations and you know what makes an editor or a reporter tick. You are creative, but you are able to act within set guidelines and you understand the importance of company policies.
What you will do
You will be part of the Content Team which consists of engaged Writers and Content Producers. Your main focus will be to create written communication assets for all communication needs targeted at both internal and external audiences – press releases, social media copy, internal news, scriptwriting, features, reports.
You will assess the stakeholder brief, understand communication gaps and back-brief as necessary to clarify all parts of the brief.
More, you will drive your own projects and, when necessary, utilise teamwork and the broader expertise within the Content Team to ensure every brief is delivered to the highest standard and on time. Working across multiple business areas, liaising with project leads and other stakeholders throughout the company is essential. Further you will support other members of the Content Team with researching topics and the other groups within the Communications function when necessary.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Communications/Journalism/Media or equivalent work experience
• Excellent writing and proofreading skills in English
• Web editing and Social Media content production
