As a CIM (Continuous Improvement Manager) you are responsible to drive the CI-engine and being a change agent on journey toward operational excellence. A big part of the role focuses on running different programs such as variable and fixed manufacturing cost productivity programs, growth identification and to drive our ALPS processes. You will also play a vital role for the sites Digitalization journey.
Main responsibilities
The CIM lead and develop Continuous Improvement for the site according to guidelines, policies and goals. The role involves implementation of ensuring company-wide standardized processes, a culture of continuous improvement, process-centric behaviors, company values and required capabilities.
Build organizational capabilities by champion, develop and sustain a culture of continuous improvement, develop and expand local capabilities in applying continuous improvement tools and methods.
Improve site performance by supporting and challenging the workforce and local MT in direction setting, prioritization (timing, resources, and sequence of actions) and implementation of improvement activities to best achieve the targets for the key performance indicators of the yearly site improvement plan. This includes the organizational and strategic deployment throughout the site
Drive and manage the improvement portfolio by identifying, validate and drive new improvement opportunities and promote the passion for excellence and delivering on commitment values.
Manage the improvement project funnel including scoping, project assignment, resource planning, tracking of progress and benefits and controlling sustainability of outcomes.
Lead and support the ALPS deployment on site.
Help the site to define Key Performance Indicator (KPI)
Train employees in the meaning of continuous improvement and explain different KPIs
See to that the site’s personnel are informed regularly about the improvements done
Develop a strategy for visual systems and transfer of best practices within the site
Qualifications
Hold a University Degree in Chemical/Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and have good overall knowledge of technology and chemistry
Have several years of relevant experience from the industry, including production, maintenance and QHSE&S
Experience from a managerial position, or interest in developing own leadership capabilities
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, able to identify and structure issues, run accurate (also statistical) analyses and synthesize recommendations
Experience working with Six Sigma is meritorious e.g Black belt certified
We believe that you have experience of responsibilities regarding personnel and have knowledge of process oriented ways of working. You’ve got the ability and interest to coach, lead and teach colleagues. As a person you’re humble, structured and a judge of character. You are a good communicator, verbal as written in both the Swedish and English language
