The Contract Manager is part of the IKEA Contracting and Vendor Management team. Together we are responsible for the commercial and contractual relationship with our IT vendors. The Contract Manager shall maintain a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the contract, improve the contractual and commercial knowledge within IKEA IT Delivery and manage commercial issues related to the contract.
Your main responsibilities as Contract Manager will be to support line organization in escalated commercial matters and contract disputes and being the first escalation point for all commercial issues. You will lead negotiations for contract changes and contract disputes and ensure continuous appropriate contract content from a legal and commercial perspective meeting IKEA?s evolving business needs.

As a Contract Manager you are the primary commercial interface to the vendor during the contract life cycle. It is important that you have the ability to build and grow strong relations with our vendors. To review and follow up on the performance of our vendors is also part of your assignment.

Initiate and follow up vendor audit (IWAY) and proactively contribute to continuous learning and improvements of working methods within the team will also be a part of your assignment. Furthermore you will support and advise Contract Administrators with vendor and contract management according to need. You need to be strong in building both internal and external relations and networks.

Is this the right challenge for you? We prefer that you have University degree in commercial law and/or business administration or equivalent knowledge and experience of international complex projects with deep grasp of contract structure and terms. You have international negotiation experience and general business relationship experience. You are fluent in written and spoken English and have good understanding of Information Technology. It is a plus if you have experience from IT outsourcing and/or knowledge in SW license models. As a person you have the ability to build strong relationships both with people internally acting in a service minded way and with the vendors in a demanding international environment. You are business minded with ability to negotiate in a firm professional way securing IKEA?s best interests. You have excellent oral and written communication skills on all levels in the organisation and good people management skills.
