Contract Manager
Wärtsilä Biogas Solutions is now looking to strengthen the aftermarket team. Today, the installed base contains more than 40 plants, mainly in Northern Europe, that are supported by a team of service engineers.
Wärtsilä designs and builds biogas upgrading and liquefaction plants, and are seen as one of the world leaders for these products with more than 20 years in the market (former Puregas Solutions and Hamworthy). Biogas is produced from food waste, sewage, manure and crops and consists mainly of methane and carbon dioxide. The upgraded biogas, Biomethane, can be used as vehicle fuel, injected into the gas grid or for liquefaction (bioLNG). Several major fuel suppliers see biogas as the main transition fuel for the next two decades.
