Basic functions Overall responsible for Contract Management, including Contractual risk prevention, and Claim Management. Establish and drive the processes required to ensure efficient Customer Management in Contractual and Claim Management. Competence development within Contract Management, including Contractual risk prevention, and Claim Management. Essential functions Authority Order to discontinue a negotiation if the contractual risk goes behind approved limits. Approve claims before contact with customer. Local approval of contractual conditions (exclusive price, margins, scope of supply etc.). Approval or disapproval of contractual conditions with partners, sub-supplier etc. (taking into account regulations according the Delegation of Authority) Responsibilities To participate in tendering and negotiation phase to review risks and to support Sales in contract writing. To interpret and communicate all contractual obligations of what is excluded and included in the scope of the Project. Manage the contracts signed with suppliers and where relevant, relationship's with Partners (e.g. in a consortium) while keeping an acute awareness of the legal implications. Wherever possible, seeks to increase both financial & time opportunities to improve the Net Margin, including on time customer payments. To be the contractual expert assuring that all written documentation is elaborated using the appropriate terminology, involves the use of Legal experts where necessary. Measure performance against contractual objectives, referring to the contract. Support Project Manager in systematically reshapes contract-applying strategies to achieve "win-win" situations, where appropriate. Reduce risk and identification of claims by applying a clear contract management control system. Ensure that Contract management and claim processes and practices are in line with Company policies and Business guidelines and drive continuous improvement. Education Requirements Engineering, legal or business school graduate or post-graduate. Knowledge and Experience More than 10 years experience in industries preferably involving large/complex projects. Commercial and legal experience on a senior level more than 5 years. Multi-cultural working experience is a plus. Fluency in English.
