Control Engineering & low-level software - Imaging

We are looking for an engineer with knowledge and interest in control engineering and low-level SW. As part of Axis Technologies organization, you will together with your colleagues at the Imaging team, make sure Axis continues to be the world leader in image quality and related technologies, with special focus on lenses and the control of those.

Who is your future team?
Core Technologies Imaging is the team that leads the way towards world class imaging. We drive the agendas around image processing, imaging sensors and optics, both internally at Axis and towards our sensor and optics suppliers.

The team consists of several experts within relevant technology areas, that together define our way towards continued leadership. One example of a successful technology developed within our team is Lightfinder (https://www.axis.com/solutions/lightfinder), which performance is a main differentiation for our products. In order to further strengthen our position, we need to extend the team with an engineer focused on control engineering and low-level SW.

What will you do?
In this role you will develop control systems for different technologies and platforms related to imaging and especially lenses. You will play an important role from early specification and requirements setting via implementation to verification and delivery to our product development organizations. You will work in close collaboration with our suppliers of lenses. Focus areas will mainly be:

· Motor control systems engineering

· Filter design

· Component selections

· Low-level SW design for HW control, especially lenses

· Interaction with lens suppliers, to together form a complete system

Traveling would be required, to a limited degree.

Who are we looking for?
You have a Master's degree or similar in computer science, electrical engineering or engineering physics, and have worked for some years with control systems, embedded systems, and low-level programming. You have a solid background in control engineering, where working with motor control systems is an extra merit. You are familiar with tools and equipment for low-level programming and control engineering.

You are a good team player but can also drive tasks and solve issues independently. You have good communication skills and are fluent in English, both written and verbal. You are self-reliable and have an interest to develop yourself and your area of responsibilities and combine this with being humble and easy to cooperate with.
