Control System designer

You will be part of Motors & Generators, Machines in Västerås. The unit, which is part of the business area Motors & Generators, develops, manufactures and sells synchronous AC Machines in the power range from 1 MW and above, for motor and generator applications.

Tasks
Are you a problem-solving and a social candidate with experience in power plant design and/or control systems, then this may be the right opening. Your main task will be to design control systems for excitation systems for synchronous motors and generators. You will support our sales team and work closely with the Product Manager and participate in meetings with clients both in Sweden and abroad.

Requirements
Expectantly you hold a Masters or Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a major in Electric Power. Alternatively, you are an engineer with experience and knowledge in synchronous machines and control systems. If you have experience from programming of relay protection (REG, SPAD, Multin etc) and PLC?s (AC500) and have worked with excitation system, Unitrol, Basler and have an understanding of design, for example from distribution systems it is positive. A solid understanding of technical sales support might be valuable. As part of a global organization, fluency in written and spoken English is a must. On a personal level you are open minded and always strive to understand customer requirements and to find the best possible solution, based on our unique concepts. You distinguish yourself with an analytical mind and an ability to make sound decisions regarding technical solutions. Since you will work closely with our sales team you need strong interpersonal skills and a helpful and service-minded attitude.
