Do you have a great interest in Software development and would you like to be a member of a highly committed development team? Then this is a position for you.

Position description
The control system for Air Handling Unit (AHU) is developed in close cooperation with our product owners and technical support teams. It is characterized by high influence from each individual and with a close connection to our customer demands. The high volume production means that quality and manufacturability is always in focus.

The Software (SW) and development team consists of five persons, working close together with everything from electrical installation, motor control to embedded SW for controls. In this role you will drive and deliver SW releases, this includes overview and planning – from specification to test and implementation in production. It also includes elements of specifying and developing parts yourself e.g. user interfaces and other on board services like log data analysis and commissioning protocol.

For the AHU embedded control system, the SW implementation is mainly done by suppliers, however, Swegon will gradually move more of the SW implementation in-house. Meaning, there will be an opportunity to grow towards a bigger SW ownership role or to a SW implementation role in the future.

You will be responsible for planning, developing and delivering the SW releases approximately two to three times per year together with product owners and the rest of the development team. The SW releases are often part of bigger development projects. The position is placed in Kvänum, Vara. Flexibility to work from distance could be discussed.

Your profile
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have a structured mindset, high drive and ability to coordinate and plan multiple activities within the team. You should have an overall view of the SW process and connection points as well as the ability to dig down in details to specify and test new features.

The person we are looking for have at least a bachelor's degree in technology studies. We believe that you have previous experience of coordinating SW releases and developing embedded SW for high volume production. Alternatively you have experience of specifying and testing embedded SW changes. Experience from a more in depth responsibility from tests, development or ownership of embedded SW is meritorious but not a requirement.

We believe that you are open and curious of interacting with different roles and personalities. You have good communication skills, spoken and written since it is an necessity to coordinate within and outside of the team while maintaining an efficient and attractive work environment.
