Who are we?
Volvo Cars Corporation’s Climate ART (Agile Release Train) is responsible for the vehicle`s climate comfort system. We are now looking for a new team member to the ART’s A/C Control team.
The Climate Control & Calibration team is responsible for Climate comfort SW development, verification, and calibration. Part of this is the A/C control team which is responsible for developing software that keeps passengers, high voltage batteries and other hardware at their comfort temperatures at a minimal power cost. You will be part of a control strategy developing team that share their workload and develop their competences together to become stronger as individuals and as a team. To do that we need both to have specialist competence areas in combination with generic bridging competences to be able to understand and support each other to reach our team objectives.

You will use modern tools within software development and develop software with speed and quality. Part of the role will include designing and implementing own developed algorithms, as well as travelling to different locations around the world for testing and verifying your solutions in the vehicle.
Who are you?
We are looking for you, who has recently graduated or worked some years within software development for embedded systems. You are curious about the customer experience and want to learn more about climate systems in the Volvo vehicles. You want to be a part of a team which develops new, energy-smart solutions that help Volvo to become market-leading in climate comfort and energy efficiency. You understand the need for good communication and like to listen and learn from others as well as share your knowledge. To thrive in this role, we believe you are an openminded outgoing character, who also feels comfortable to challenge the status quo.

Through being engaged and taking responsibility for the team’s objectives. Always strive to improve both processes and products by using your skills, experiences, and learning from mistakes. Dependent on your competences you will be able to contribute to function development, testing, and releasing climate control SW to the customer. You are engaged in the way of working and strive to continuously improve quality and processes, bringing new competences and experiences into the team.
What you need to bring with you?
* An agile mindset and a strong drive to develop excellent quality.
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. within Systems, Control and Mechatronics, SW Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent experience.
* An interest in developing control systems in embedded software.
* A valid car driving licence (B).
Meritorious:
* Experience of Simulink and MATLAB development
* Understanding of Continuous Integration
* Knowledge about CANoe/CANalyzer
* Knowledge about INCA/MDA
* Climate system knowledge
* Automotive industry experience
* Good level of written and spoken, Swedish and English
