Control system software developer

Control system software developer

Arbetsbeskrivning

Do you have a great interest in embedded Software implementation and would you like to be a member of a highly committed development team?
Would it be interesting to influence how the future of embedded control systems are developed? Then this is a position for you.

Position description
The control system for our Air Handling Units (AHU) is developed in close cooperation with our product owners and technical support teams. It is characterized by high influence from each individual and with a close
connection to our customer demands. The high volume production means that quality
and manufacturability is always in focus.

The Software (SW) and development team consists of 5 persons, working close together with everything from electrical installation and motor control to embedded SW for controls. In this role you will implement SW for the AHU control system. It will include design, implementation and test of new control functions as well as a big impact on the deployment process and test and validation methods. In order to do this you should have an open dialogue with the team and stakeholders while at the same time work on your own with the SW.

For the AHU embedded control system, the SW implementation is mainly done by suppliers, however, Swegon will gradually move more of the SW implementation in-house. This new role will be key in that work setting the boundaries for future AHU SW development.

You will be responsible for parts of the SW development and integration on the control system platform – cooperating with the rest of the team and product management to set requirements and design of the future control functions.

The position is placed in Kvänum, Vara. Flexibility to work from distance could be discussed.

Your profile
We are looking for a person that are genuinely interested in SW development for embedded control systems. You have the ability to see, and dig down, into details to understand the SW application parts in order to be involved in designing them.

The person we are looking for have at least a bachelor's degree in technology studies. We believe that you have previous experience of implementing real-time embedded SW for high volume production.

Experience from control design and implementation (e.g. PID controllers), Model based design using Matlab/Simulink or PLC IEC 61131-3 development is meritorious but not a requirement.

We believe that you are open and curious of interacting with different roles and personalities and that you are able to find the balance between “sense of urgency” and quality assurance. As part of the AHU SW development team you are willing to contribute to an efficient, flexible and attractive work environment.
