Swegon is increasing its efforts in the area of Control system development and to reinforce the team we are now recruiting a Software (SW) developer to be responsible for the system and integration.This person will be one of the front figures in forming the future Swegon AHU control system software, including the development process. Position description
The control system development for Air Handling Units (AHU) is characterized by high influence from each individual and with a close connection to our customer demands. The high volume production means that quality and manufacturability are always in focus.
The development team currently consist of 5 people working with the AHU control system.
For the AHU embedded control system, the SW implementation is mainly done by suppliers. However, Swegon will gradually move more of the SW implementation in-house. This new role will be key in the work setting the framework for future AHU SW development. You will implement SW for the next generation in close contact with the rest of the team who are the domain experts.
You will be responsible for the integration of functional software as well as any other parts in the build.
Together with the functional SW developer you will have a leading position in forming the future Swegon AHU control system software, including the development process.
You are, together with a platform supplier, responsible for setting the requirements for KPI’s like memory usage and serial bus communication.
The position is placed in Gothenburg with a requirement of business travels to Kvänum (Vara) continuously. Or work from the office in Kvänum where the rest of the team is located.
Your profile
To succeed in this role, we believe that you are genuinely interested in SW development for embedded control systems. You should have an open dialogue with the team and stakeholders and in the same time set your own goals. The role requires you to dig down in details to understand the SW application in combination with a helicopter perspective to work on the overall SW architecture.
The person we are looking for has a Masters degree in technology studies like Computer science, Electrical engineering, Applied physics or similar. You have several years of experience
from real-time embedded SW implementation. Experience from earlier SW integration leader positions is meritorious but not a requirement as long as you have a the necessary knowledge to take an overall responsibility for the integration and system performance. Experience from model based design or PLC IEC 61131-3 development is meritorious.
