Control Systems Designer - upgrade projects

You will be part of HVDC within the Power Systems division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. As Control Systems Designer, it will be your responsibility to:

- Participate in upgrade projects at HVDC, throughout the whole project process
- Take part in technical documentation and actualize it to new systems
- Continuously simulate as well as test control and power systems
- Spend time in the test lab and communicate with technicians and electricians regarding the various parts of the programming.

During commissioning of control systems you will be at the customer's site. In other words, travels abroad will be a natural part of your job.

You preferably hold a university degree within relevant technical area, but you may also be an industry electrician with programming skills and the drive to develop. If you recently graduated, you may also be successful in this position. Regardless of your formal education, former work within programming or electric power is qualifying. As Control Systems Designer you will have colleagues worldwide, which is why need to be fluent in English, written and spoken alike. Equally important is your inner drive, initiative as well as your ability to get things done. You also need to thrive in collaborations.
