Controller internship

Role Summary/Purpose:

We are looking for a driven economic student to do a one semester long controllership internship at GE Healthcare in Uppsala. This internship can only be offered as a part of your ongoing masters studies. The duration of the internship is six months starting mid August.
Essential Responsibilities As an intern at GE Healthcare in the controllership-team you will be given great opportunities and will be working closely with the controllers. You will for example assist in internal and external auditing, assist with manual journal bookings, assist in internal and external auditing and analyze the balance sheets/ accounts.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Excellent academic achievements within economics or accounting
Interest and knowledge in accounting
Fluent in English and Swedish
Attending the master program at Uppsala University
EU work permit

Desired Characteristics:

At least 24 credit hours of coursework toward a bachelors/technical (or equivalent) degree in the function you are interning or a recent graduate from a Bachelors/technical program in the function you are interning
In countries where applicable, a GPA of at least 3.0
Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines
Previous experience using independent thought processes to plan ahead, process information, maintain workflow and anticipate future needs of the team
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction
Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines
Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse team across different time zones
