Controller to Axpo Nordic in Malmö

Your job and main responsibilities

Axpo Nordic is looking for an ambitious Controller who is eager to take on the role as an active value-adding co-worker for the division. We are looking for a Controller to take on the responsibility for covering the company's operations in the Finnish energy market from the Swedish office in Malmö. This position will also include tasks related to the company's physical power trading operations, which are situated in Malmö.

Your responsibilities will include:

* General controlling assignments such as preparing financial reports, forecasts and budgets
* Manage and oversee outsourced functions for daily operations of Axpo Finland Oy, including accounting and invoicing service providers located in the Helsinki area
* Transaction management and customer/vendor interface towards Finnish and Baltic counterparties
* Cooperate with other functions such as the Physical Power Desk in Malmö on ad-hoc/other duties as necessary
* Analyze, monitor and ensure accuracy of financial information related to physical power and gas contracts

The Nordic finance team is headquartered in Oslo with currently one controller based in Malmö, responsible for the Swedish business. This position will be the second Controller based in the Malmö office and will report to the CFO who is based in Oslo.

Your profile

We believe you have a MSc in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or equivalent, with proven good results and relevant work experience. Fluent in English and good command of Swedish. Some other qualifications are:

* Ambitious and curious/interested in learning and developing the required skills
* Takes initiative and responsibility for own tasks
* Able to work independently with good problem-solving skills
* Good communications and inter-personal skills
* Strong numerical proficiency
* Attention to detail - whilst maintaining a big-picture method to approaching tasks

What can we offer you?

The position will be 100% of full time. Starting date is as soon as possible. You will be part of a dynamic team consisting of sixteen persons in Malmö. Within Axpo you will find a responsible position in an innovative and dynamic environment. You work independently and the position offers opportunities to develop your daily work situation. Our new office is situated in central Malmö. It is possible to work partly from home office.
