Controller is a position within the Finance Department at our Head Office in Stockholm. The department consists of 8 people and reports to the Head of Finance. Furthermore, the controllerworks closely with our colleagues in our Programme Offices in the regions we operateand has primarily an advisory and a controlling role in the financial parts of grant management.
As a Controller, you are responsible for the following key tasks.
Financial administration of grants: from budget process to financial reporting
Ongoing monitoring, controlling and reporting of the grants to donors and grants to partners
Quality assurance of donor agreements and budgets and partner agreements and budgets before signing
Preparing financial reports for donors, coordinating, and managing annual audit of donor agreements and preparation of management response and audit remedy report
Reviewing the terms of reference for the audits, audit reports and audit remedies for partner organizations
Development and implementation of internal instructions around the handling of grants and projects
Establishing budget and project number structure for grants in Kvinna till Kvinna’s financial system
Planning and carrying out internal training programs and developing educational materials in the areas of financial management and internal control
About you
To be successful in this position, you have experience and knowledge about diverse cultural norms och practices, and ability to effectively manage interpersonal relationships and engage colleagues in financial objectives. Furthermore, you have strong analytical and technical skills with high attention toquality standards, needed for the financial work tasks and to preventing irregularities and ensuring transparency.
Formal qualifications
Minimum of five years of experience in financial management, accounting or controlling, preferably within an international NGO or development organization.
Proven experience in accounting.
Proven experience in quality assurance of donor agreements and financial management of grants.
University degree in economics, or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way.
Fluency in both English and Swedish.
Merits
Experience of working with grant reporting with Sida, Civsam and the EU.
Experience in working with internal control

This is a full-time permanent position, partly remote based in Stockholm. Travel may occur. Goal-oriented working hours applies.
Starting date: end of 2024 orbeginning of 2025 as per agreement.
