Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Controlling Energy Marshall to support the energy programme in our data centre projects. If you are well-versed in electrical distribution and switching and have experience as a Senior Authorised Person, we would love to hear from you!
Your new role
As the new Controlling Energy Marshall, you will join our Industry department in Sweden, focusing specifically on industrial projects. Many of our projects are multidisciplinary and involve close collaboration with colleagues across other Ramboll markets, such as Energy, Environment & Health, and Water, as well as with colleagues in other countries. Our projects span six key client segments: Life Science, Battery Factory, Automotive, Aquaculture, Data Centres, and Green Steel and Mining. In these areas, we possess considerable technical and strategic expertise, both locally and globally within Ramboll.
More specifically, you will be part of our expert team working on the design, construction, and commissioning of data centres. At Ramboll, we have a strong track record of delivering full lifecycle services to global clients in the data centre segment, both in Sweden and internationally. Currently, we are involved in several large-scale projects in and around Gävle/Sandviken, and we are looking for more colleagues, who wants to join us on this exciting journey to deliver the next generation of data centres.
As a Controlling Energy Marshall, you will be responsible for ensuring that the project is being effectively and safely managed by the Authorizing Energy Marshal and the General Contractor and all contractors. More specifically, your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assuring and assisting in the co-ordination of energy isolation activities.
Verifying the GC’s processes and on-site practices is in compliance with safety performance specifications and standards, such as NFPA70E 2018.
Assisting in the planning and coordination of energy isolation activities related to construction and commissioning activities across projects.
Review and auditing of GC energy isolation procedural compliance.

These include:
Min. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Several years of experience with data centre construction and commissioning.
Several years of experience as a Senior Authorised Person managing electrical distribution and switching, including experience with safety standards, such as NFPA70E 2018.
Ability to conduct audits on site practices against written standards.
Ability to liaise with different stakeholders and communicate technical solutions and concept to engineers and non-engineers alike.
Strong communication skills in English, proficiency in Swedish is a plus.
