Your Mission
As a Controls System Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of creating a competitive Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and laying the groundwork for a future industrialized product portfolio. Your role will involve:
* Prioritizing Safety: Ensuring the safety of future end users is paramount.
* Architecting Control Systems: Developing a scalable control system architecture for the MVP and beyond.
* Laboratory Development: Contributing to control systems development in the lab and learning from tests for final implementation.
* Control Strategy Implementation: Developing, implementing, and verifying control strategies for new technology in mining and construction applications.
* Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Working with experts in other technical areas to find effective solutions.
* Hands-On Programming: Engaging in programming or leading other partners as needed.
* Technology Evaluation: Ensuring chosen technologies fulfill functional requirements, cost, availability, and development speed in both the short and long term.


Your Profile
You're a technically skilled individual with a broad understanding of control systems, especially for mobile machinery. You excel in transitioning new technologies from research to product and work well with minimal guidance. You collaborate effectively with a curious can-do attitude.
Other qualifications:
* Expertise in control systems and automation of mobile machines, with a preference for those with insight into electric or hydraulic systems.
* Interest in control system architecture, programming, Can bus, and network communications.
* Degree in mechatronics, software development, or control engineering, or another highly qualified engineering field.
* Hands-on experience with PLCs, model-based programming, Codesys, C++, LabView, or equivalent
* Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
