Coordinator for Business and Education in Skellefteå

The Business and Built Environment operations are part of the Regional Development Administration. The operations encompass both broad and specialized areas across three units. We are currently seeking two coordinators for the Business and Built Environment operations, based in the Business and Education Unit.

Our main offices are in Umeå and Skellefteå, but employees are also based in other locations across the region. Travel within Västerbotten, Sweden, and Europe may be required when necessary.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
In your role as a coordinator, you will create the conditions for collaboration, new knowledge, and a strong future. This includes a wide range of varied and challenging tasks, and you will be responsible for driving initiatives that enhance Västerbotten's ability to lead and create opportunities in skills supply, labor market issues, and education. Additionally, your work will contribute to sustainable regional growth, competitiveness, and attractiveness.

The work is based on collaboration aligned with regional, national, and European strategies and stakeholders. The role is broad, spanning many fields, and includes addressing the transition and development needs of both the business community and public actors. It involves leading multiple stakeholders toward joint actions for greater societal impact.

You will be responsible for driving processes and projects in collaboration with actors from business, academia, the public sector, and civil society. The position also involves monitoring trends, conducting analyses, coordinating meetings, and communicating on various issues.

KVALIFIKATIONER
You have a college or university degree that Region Västerbotten deems relevant for the position.

We are looking for someone who is driven and collaborative, with a natural talent for communication and the ability to work in a solution-oriented manner, both short-term and long-term. You have a strong interest in societal issues and the ability to see the bigger picture, encompassing both global and local challenges.

We require documented experience working with strategic processes at the intersection of business, the public sector, and academia. You should also have experience in process and project management, analysis, and communication efforts.

Fluency in English and/or Swedish, both spoken and written, is essential. You should be able to independently and collaboratively initiate and drive developmental work. Additionally, strong administrative skills and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with various issues, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously are vital.
