About Us
ISLK - International School of Lund is an IB World School authorized to teach the IB Primary Years Programme and the Middle Years Programme.
The school works in close collaboration with Katedralskolan where the IB Diploma Programme is offered. ISLK is a growing school and has appr. 470 students at the moment. More information about the school can be found at: www.lund.se/islk
The ISLK After School Programme (ASP) follow the Swedish curriculum for Fritidshem aligned with the vision and the mission of the International Baccalaureate (IB).
Job Description
Provide leadership in the After School Programme; in planning of activities and use of facilities, in organizing the team and schedules, professional development and running team meetings. Plan and arrange the school breaks in collaboration with the team, the office and the leader of the pre-school.
Be in charge of enrolling students to the programme, work with attendance and registration in collaboration with the parents and the ISLK administration. Make sure the parents are informed of the everyday life of the After School programme.
Lead and mentor a group of staff; setting goals, evaluate and have professional development talks as well as salary talks.
Work in close collaboration with the Educational Leadership Team (ELT) about whole school activities, school development and improvement within the continuum of the school. The ASP coordinator will have a special responsibility for break- and outdoor activities and learning.
You will work in your team during contact hours.
Qualifications
Trained after school pedagogue (Lärare i fritidshem/Fritidspedagog) or the equivalent.
Experience
Several years’ experience of working in a Swedish after school setting. Lead activities based on a holistic view of the child and designed so that care, socialization and learning together form a coherent whole Documented experience and ability of leading and working in a team environment. Experience of planning, documenting and evaluating the work. Experience of working in Skola24, Procapita and/or other administrative programmes. A plus if you have worked in an IB School and/or in a multi-cultural setting.
Requirements
Attitudes and skills for a cross Culture Environment. Very good communicative, organizational and collaborative skills. Create excellent relationships with students, colleagues and parents based on mutual respect. Excellent digital skills in daily work. The applicant needs to take initiative, be flexible and secure in the professional role. Working language is English.
