Travel management of Scania is responsible for coordinating the travel process and associated services such as handling travel agency, rental cars, payment cards, visas and external conference facilities etc. Our ambition is that Scania's employees should be able to travel and meet in a safe, sustainable and cost-effective way. Our most important stakeholders are travel bookers and travelers at the company, which means that we frequently participates in cross-functional forums and projects. We have continuous cooperation with our purchasing function and external suppliers. We are now looking for an employee who is dedicated and responsible.
The position and tasks
As a Coordinator at Travel management your responsibility is to manage and develop the meeting and travel process in the daily activities and to participate / lead in projects on demand. You will ensure that Scania has the optimal travel agreements according to both domestic and global needs. Since Scania is part of the Volkswagen group many agreements are handled by Volkswagen, and in these cases your tasks is to collect requested information and statistics for the procurement, as well as monitor and influence the best alternative for Scania. For the domestic agreements you will work closely with the Purchase department and make sure the supplier fulfil all the specified requirements and needs.
The position means a lot of contacts with both employees and suppliers which requires a good communication ability. To be fluent in both Swedish and English is a necessity since you also will be responsible for the Business travel information on the intranet of Scania.
To provide statistics and reports to various interested parties, as well as follow ups on targets for sustainable travel are also tasks in this position.
Depending on assignment, the time frame could in some cases be tight, which will call for both flexibility and ability to prioritize.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with:
• prior experience and interest of Business travel
• good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both writing and speaking. Knowledge of German language is meritorious.
• cooperation skills, sense of responsibility and drive for own tasks
• the ability to reprioritize and be flexible when required
• experience from similar positions is meritorious
The Team
The Travel management & Expense team handles all the agreements connected to Business travels, as well as travel reports for all entities of Scania in Sweden. In the team of five employees there are two co-workers assigned to the travel management area and three are working with the expense reports. All of us support each other areas when needed.
