The role
As our new Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating, organizing and assisting in the Global Challenges courses as well as in a track on the Bachelor-level. You will also be a member of the Admissions team where you will be one of the main contact persons for people who are interested in applying for or start one of SSE’s bachelor programs. Your main work responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Course Coordinator (50%)
- Administration related to the course and track including for example scheduling, exam administration, registration of attendance, administrating digital exams and registration of partial and final grades.
- Provide support for the faculty team ensuring the course and track quality, for example by preparing practical matters for lectures, seminars and exams as well as take part in evaluations in order to improve practical parts of the course and track.
- Coordination of visitors to the course as well as various meetings.
- Daily/weekly contact with teachers and students via email.
- Project management, such as the Global Challenges Expo, which includes coordination of planning meetings, coordination of practical purchases, planning the event together with an event coordinator, execution of the event, which includes all practical details.
Admissions Coordinator (50%)
- Evaluate and develop work processes for the BSc admission.
- Communicate with prospective students and respond to internal and external enquiries concerning BSc Admission, at education fairs, through emails, phone, digitally and in personal meetings.
- Managing and processing BSc applications, as a part of the wider application process through Admission.se.
- Take part in various retention activities and other recruitment matters.
- Checking and updating information about BSc Admission, including program requirements, on the SSE web.
- Attending various recruitment fairs, internally and externally.
Qualifications
You are a service minded self-starter with an eye for details who can achieve results. You are stress-resilient, enjoy working in a high-paced environment and work well with other people. You have excellent communications skills, are receptive towards others and can adapt to the situation. Furthermore, we think that you take responsibility for a given task, can independently structure your approach and drive processes forward.
Requirements:
- Administrative work experience
- Oral and written fluency in English and Swedish
- Academic background – either by having attended, worked in or in another way have experience from an academic environment
- Experience from driving own projects
- Work experience with recruitment is a plus
This position will involve occasional work outside of ordinary working hours and some travel.
The team
This role is a part of the unit Program Office. Program Office is one of the Professional Services units at SSE, which is responsible for questions concerning admission, central course evaluation, program support, quality assurance, and the student exchange are handled by the Program Office.
Other
