VR games have transformed from a quaint peculiarity a few years ago to a billion-dollar industry. As a part of that transformation, the games are becoming more complex and therefore we are now in need of finding a Core Tech & Tools Programmer to join the Shared tech team.

What you'll do
Our Shared Tech Team is a small but talented team that is devoted to supporting our game teams with reusable components and functionality, as well as asset tooling and build scripts. You’ll be enabling the core game teams to focus on making great games by delivering solutions that will act as a force multiplier to their development process. As a Core Tech & Tools Programmer you will be working with tackling complex problems. Such as; Designing, developing, and supporting technology in our production pipeline, from DCC tools, throughout our asset management and conditioning pipeline, down to the supporting runtime game systems. Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Creating and maintaining components and solutions that are used across our games, for example: analytics/telemetry, localization, achievements etc.

- Supporting game teams when integrating our solutions in the game



- Maintaining and improving our build scripts enabling our cross-platform titles

- Develop and improve Unity tools to further streamline the game dev process

- Create solutions of technical excellence and still putting usability first

- Supporting the game teams with in depth knowledge and troubleshooting

- Defining APIs for client-server communication



Requirements

- Extensive and proven experience as game, core or tools programmer

- Very good understanding of commonly used software design patterns

- Very good knowledge of C# and Unity3D engine

- Experience building reusable components

- Great knowledge of game engines and the game development toolchain



Nice to have

- Experience with VR and AR SDKs

- Proven experience working with UPM/NPM package managers

- CI/CD pipeline experience , such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or equivalent

- Experience as a backend developer working with various server-side middleware

- Aspiring to be a great communicator, both within our team and with the game teams, our users- rewrite

- Self-driven, highly motivated and used to work in an independent environment
