Your new team
The Sandvik Group Communications team is set up by highly skilled professionals and are responsible for developing both internal and external communication and strategies – ensuring delivery of our company strategy, employee engagement and an attractive brand and consistency across the Group’s channels. So, what’s the job all about?
Your focus lies in providing support to our IT organization by creating innovative, qualitative, and timely communication across a large variety of channels. You plan and execute communication activities to support business priorities with a strong focus on creating excellent communication towards end-users. Your responsibility includes supporting senior management with communications planning, training, crisis communications and digital and live event management.
You work in close collaboration with stakeholders in our IT organizations and your fellow Corporate Communications Business Partner towards IT. You report to the Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications and Brand at Sandvik Group Communications
Where’s the office?
As the global IT function has a strong local footprint, this position is based in Sweden and the working time vary between our different IT offices in Sandviken and Stockholm.
What we expect from you
We’re looking for an experienced communicator with a degree in Communication, Journalism or with the corresponding skills and training. You have a couple of years’ experience within a similar position and are used to cooperating with different types of people, both by cultural background and by profession. Your high interest in new technology is a given, and you master many of the new collaboration tools available and you learn modern systems swiftly and easily. At Sandvik, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint and Teams are essential platforms for how we communicate and collaborate. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish are required.
We’re genuinely interested in your collaborative and easy-going mindset as well as your curious attitude for finding new and smarter ways to communicate. You have a strategic mindset, and at the same time, you’re an operational doer who stays focused on creating results in times of multiple parallel assignments and deadlines just around the corner. In addition, you have the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and you easily adjust your approach to suit the audience.
