Corporate Communications Specialist to Global Child Forum

Global Child Forum conducts research and analysis on children’s rights and business issues and organizes global forums and events at the highest-level. We also provide digital tools and resources aimed at helping companies accelerate their adaption of children’s rights initiatives. Through innovative partnerships with companies and civil society, we provide knowledge on how children’s rights can be secured and integrated into business operations. One of our key reports is our benchmark, the State of Children’s Rights and Business which, over the past decade, has measured over 2,600 companies on their implementation of the Children’s Rights and Business Principles.

Your role

As Corporate Communication Specialist, you will create value for our organization by strengthening our communication through, among other things, engaging content and storytelling, in English.

You will be a part of the communications team, report to Head of External Relations and Engagement, and work closely with the Head of Communications and the Digital Communications Manager. You are both digitally knowledgeable and a skilled project manager who understands the connection between strategic communication and business results. You will be an important asset to Global Child Forum's work to achieve our target groups' sustainability goals. You will participate in interesting development projects together with different contact points both internally and externally. The role demands great personal responsibility with a strong driving force while sharing our conviction that we will be better and more efficient working together as a team.

Responsibilities

Content development – plan, produce and edit organization-wide content for distribution towards our various target groups, corporates, financial partners, the investment community, and other stakeholders. Content pieces can include research reports, direct mail send-outs, social media posts, web texts, speeches, press releases, presentations, newsletters and more
With the help of Head of Communications, decide on key messages and how to communicate and reinforce messages through all our communication channels
Publish and update SEO friendly material on the new website (will be launched during spring 2022)
Drive traffic in social media through a social media strategy and regular postings, follow-up, and analytics
Be responsible for producing our yearly Impact Report and providing communication input on our Annual Report
 Identify and respond to emerging sustainability issues that could impact our target group through appropriate communications engagement
Review content produced by staff (proof-reading, editing, language/messaging choices) and ensure editorial excellence in report writing, presentations, speaking points, and all outreach materials
 Support on developing Global Child Forum’s Children’s Rights and Business benchmark “brand” in all our channels


About you

To succeed in the role, you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field of study and experience of working in corporate communications, writing, and editing business texts in English. We would prefer that you also have a good understanding of the corporate sustainability landscape, i.e., what drives big corporates with regards to sustainability. You have a proven track record in managing multiple projects and an ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders with different areas of expertise and levels of seniority. In addition, you have a good understanding of media relations and social media, including driving and tracking engagement, web-text production, publishing, and analytics. You have excellent written and oral communication skills in English, pay attention to detail and value quality execution. You work independently and in a structured way to reach the goals set out for the business as well as for you individually and you understand the importance of working with SEO, SEM and Google analytics.
