Scania Corporate Security leads the overall direction and management of operational- and security risks, which includes responsibility for the global security of Scania employees and the protection of company assets. The main responsibility of the department is Loss Prevention (fire safety, -protection and, -prevention as well as natural hazards), Protective Security (asset protection, personal security), Crisis Management, Internal Investigations (jointly with other units within Scania), Travel Security, and Site Security Södertälje (coordination fire safety, flammable goods and security).
The Corporate Protective Security Manager operational and strategically develops Scania company policies, guidelines and programs within protective security to coordinate a secure business environment in accordance with necessary adoptions of VW and TRATON Group guidelines and security standards. The Corporate Protective Security Manager is responsible for planning within the area Protective Security as well as advising the global operations. In many cases the role involves the necessity to liaison with the global Scania organisation as well as with other Corporate Units within Scania, TRATON Group Security and/or national/international governmental agencies.
Your responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
• Manage the development and implementation of a comprehensive Protective Security
strategy in accordance with Corporate Security guidelines and security standards, in order to ensure that Scania have an appropriate and cost-effective security environment.
• Establish good liaison in the public, private and commercial sector as well as security associations and consultants, in an effort to enhance cooperation on security and operational risk management matters.
• Advise, supervise and control/Follow up Protective Security concepts for existing or new establishments like warehouses, production sites, office buildings, R&D sites etc.
• Advise and report to the management on Protective Security topics.
• Conduct security and other operational risk assessments within the area of responsibility and advise in order to negotiate weaknesses in this regard, with the of minimizing such risks.
• Supervise external protective security consultants as well as other contractors within the area of responsibility in order to maintain quality in selection and tender procedures.
Scania is a global company and works in an international context, which will require traveling.
Your profile
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
• Relevant Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent level, preferably with Protective Security as main field.
• Excellent understanding of security legislation in one relevant country and understanding of legislation concepts in other countries.
• Good knowledge on national and international standards for protective security.
• Several years of experience in Protective Security.
• Experience from industrial organisations and projects.
As a person, you need to be trustworthy with strong ethics and personal integrity. You also need to be communicative in Swedish as well as English, have high analytical- and problem solving skills, be structured, strategic and self-driven. A true project leader and team player, focusing on the team results, whether the team is the security team, a business area or Scania as an international group of companies.
