Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

The transport industry is undergoing a paradigm shift. Technological developments will over time revolution the relationship Scania has with its customers and the company’s role in the transport value chain.

Mobility Solutions is a new business area established in 2021 with the mission to lead Scania’s ambition to take a larger role in the transport ecosystem and to identify new revenue streams for Scania. Mobility Solutions was initially focused on driving Scania’s autonomous transport roadmap and providing As-a-Service business models for transport (i.e. LOTS Group). Now, we also invest in high growth companies through our Scania Growth Capital fund and build our own start-ups through our new corporate venture building function, Scania Ventures.

The Position

We are looking for a Business analyst to play a key role in the establishment of our newly initiated venture building function. In this role, you will work closely with both the venture function-core team and our selected business ventures. Much of your work will be centered around exploring, evaluating, and accelerating new business initiatives. You will report to the Head of Strategy at Mobility Solutions.

You will join a small, positive, result-oriented team where the pace is high and the tasks vary quickly. You will be expected to take lead in business analysis for our ventures and the overall market outlook. To assure efficient and high-quality development of the function, you will also be one of our key players

In this role, you will be spending a lot of time gathering market insights, crunching numbers, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations on actions. This said you will be spending a lot of time with a positive group of people who loves to deliver both as a team and individually.

The Candidate

Experience-wise, you are in the early stages of your career and have spent a few years with highly demonstrated results within management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate finance or similar. You have probably spent countless of hours solving business cases, providing market analysis, and getting triggered by finding new ones to solve!

We seek someone who demonstrates determination, curiosity, and a belief in teamwork. Apart from that we also think you love researching and uncovering details, try new things, work smarter not harder, thrive in uncertainty, get inspired by a constantly evolving environment, and can stay calm during pressure.

You will be involved in many initiatives and support the business on numerous fronts. As a base, you, therefore, have overall business acumen and solid financial grounding. In addition, it is meritorious if you have a successful track record of supporting the development of new business initiatives, as well as a business development background involved with growing/ scaling the existing business.

Requirements


• You have strategic and analytical background with emphasis on case modelling
• You excel at

• strategic thinking, understanding the fundamental drivers of our business, and ability to challenge conventional thinking
• analytical and problem-solving, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
• ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners
• PowerPoint and Excel
• ensuring timely high-quality output


• You have strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail. You have a business/ finance-oriented academic degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent)
