We are building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory that will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe and construction is set to begin in 2023. To make that happen we need the best to join our in-house Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management (EPCM) team!

We are now looking for a Cost Control Lead to join the team. As Cost Control Lead you will join our in-house EPCM team. With the help of a support team you will lead the efforts to organize and track the cost for our EPCM organization. This will include responsibility over casting the estimate, grouping the cost for our contract packages, maintaining visibility over our commitments, accruals, liabilities, actuals, and forecast, and maintaining a clear change order process throughout the project completion.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Successfully deliver a clear historical track of our EPCM organization budget.
- Work with the Construction Director and the CFO to create a Cost Breakdown Structure that will function as the basis of controls and the links to our finance system.
- Manage the cost by developing a baseline to the budget based on estimate phases, and track all changes and reasons behind them, so that we have a clear picture of our end results.
- Champion the cost control system for the organization. (System is still to be selected).
- Lead the efforts of coding our estimate to assigned scope and procurement packages, as tracking/controlling our commitments, accruals, liabilities, changes, actuals, and forecast.
- Create and champion a Change Control process that can provide inputs to areas of risk and improvements, as well as serve as one of the main sources of Lessons Learned for continuous improvements.
The person we are looking for is a team player, that loves to be in an international environment where good relationships and stakeholder management is key to achieve results. We believe that you are highly organized and result driven. You act proactively and have a can-do attitude that goes beyond expectations.
We believe that you have:
- BSc/MSc Engineering, Economics or Business Administration, with specialization in Project Management or Cost Control
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in cost control
- Fluency in English. Valuable (but not required) if fluency in other languages, including Swedish
- Technically strong in project cost planning, scheduling, and reporting
- Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel, Cost Control System or equivalent
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Experience developing/using digital tools and enterprise software, not already mentioned above, in a cost estimating and/or cost engineering context

Our state-of-the-art R&D facility will gather leading expertise from all over the world, to create the next generation battery cells.
