Cost Control Specialist

We are building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory that will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe. We are now looking for a Cost Control Specialist to join our Facility & EPC team!

What you will do
In this position, you will be part of the Facility & EPC organization of NOVO Energy working within the Project Controls Department. In this role, you will organize and track the cost for our EPC organization, helping to ensure the success of our projects. You'll be responsible for casting estimates, grouping costs, and maintaining visibility over our commitments, accruals, liabilities, actuals, and forecasts, as well as maintaining a clear change order process throughout project completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the EPCM team to successfully deliver a clear historical track of our EPC organization budget.
- Managing costs by developing a baseline to the budget based on estimate phases, and tracking all changes and reasons behind them so that we have a clear picture of our end results.
- Championing the cost control system for the organization
- Leading the efforts of tracking/controlling the commitments, accruals, liabilities, changes, actuals, and forecast.
- Following up on the Change Control process that can provide inputs to areas of risk and improvements, as well as serve as one of the main sources of Lessons Learned for continuous improvements.
- Communicating priorities and driving timely process change requests and change orders to fulfill project milestones.
- Become a backbone of the EPCM team, supporting on developing the organization accordingly to Company mission and supporting hand in hand team members.
- Follow up for the Subcontractors, Suppliers and Consultant Contracts and Control of Payment Certifications which need to be distributed under the cost centers.
Skills & Requirements
- BSc/MSc Engineering, Economics or Business Administration, with specialization in Project Management or Cost Control.
- Minimum 7 years relevant experience in cost control.
- Fluency in English. Valuable (but not required) if fluency in other languages, including Swedish.
- Technically strong in project cost planning, follow up and reporting.
- Knowledge in the use of Microsoft MS Office and Cost Control System or equivalent, valuable (but not required) if knowledge in Power BI.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills.
- Experience in the use of digital tools and enterprise software for estimating and/or cost engineering context.
- Experience in Earned Value Management and Key Performance Indicators.
- Valuable if you have worked in multi-cultural environment.
