Cost Engineer in Electronics

For our client we are looking for a Cost Engineer in Electronics.
What will you do?
The Cost Engineering Department is now looking for a Cost Engineer for electronics to the Electrical team.It is highly dynamic and fast changing where our client work closely with the buyers, Research & Development teams and with the suppliers and sub-suppliers.
Estimating cost for electronic parts is done with both engineering and business mind-set, i.e. by analysing actual hardware/technical and commercial prerequisites to understand what requirements are driving cost. Your main responsibilities include the strive to make sure that the company always gets value for money when purchasing parts, by estimating right cost level (Bill of Material and production process) and supporting with negotiation arguments to the buyer. Another important task is to support engineering with cost estimates to support design decisions for future products and changes. You contribute in strategic business plans, teardowns and cost workshops with your expertise.
Do you fit the profile ?
You have a university degree in electronics and at least four years of relevant working experience within electronics area as Cost Engineer. You have Experience of Siemens Team Center Product Costing. Moreover, you are fluent in English, both spoken and written. Business experience of purchase / supply chain management / sales with electronics is a good basis.. Experience of cost calculations is an reqiurement. Deeper knowledge of electronic value chain, Electric Propulsion, displays, software or System on Chip is a plus.
