Kalmar Mobile Equipment Division is seeking Cost Engineering Leader.
In this role you will ensure penetration and utilisation of product costing software by identifying cost reduction opportunities, managing and supporting cost reduction projects owned by other team members, and executing cost reduction projects owned by cost engineering.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Value to Realization: Ensure cost-competitiveness through process optimization, technical cost driver improvements, ”should-cost” exercises, and design to cost activities
Analyze actual hardware, technical and commercial prerequisites to understand what requirements are driving cost
Develop and implement product costing program across Cargotec businesses coaching the buyers to enable successful negotiations
Achieve and demonstrate cost targets established by Sourcing and Product-Line Management in the time-line required
Ability to identify errors and trouble-shoot aPriori Product Cost system calculation logic and to create, modify, and configure new aPriori VPE’s
Prepare input for product cost projections and consult with sourcing and engineering teams on recommended improvements and trade-offs
Manage and prioritize ”should cost” project portfolio
Develop a training delivery plan, provide user support and on-site mentoring to team members in utilising aPriori product costing software.



What you’ll need to succeed:
Education
BSc, MSc or other degree in engineering.



Experience
Technical background and 3D modeling experience.
Procurement and/or Engineering experience in one or more metal fabrication categories
Process Knowledge and implementation experience
Continuous improvement and benefit realization experience.
Several years of relevant business / product / project experience.

Financial understanding/competence
Disciplined, goal-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
