Cost of Sales Program Leader is expected to take leadership role in dialogue between key stakeholders of the Enclosure, Power & Site Products portfolio. Typical key stakeholders include Strategic Product Managers, PDU Heads. PDU Line Managers and PDU Program/Project managers, Sourcing and Supply. Cost of Sales (CoS) Driver will drive annual TK (i.e. manufacturing cost) reduction target setting process and report progress to key stakeholders in TK Friday meetings, communication to CoS board and other relevant fora. CoS Driver will advocate for focus on CoS/TK reduction activities and highlight business cases with good return to secure decisions for required budget and resource allocation. The role is one part of the DNEW CoS program. CoS Program has the overall mission to optimize the business value of our present and future products. This includes the e2e Cost of Sales focus in all product development to evolve the Ericsson Radio System. The CoS Driver is working in the Product Development Group Site.
As a CoS Driver, you will:
Be monitoring, analyzing and reporting the product cost development of the Enclosure, Power & Site Products portfolio as well as how it contributes to total RBS/ERS portfolio.
Support Business unit Network Products with data to balance product cost, technology leadership, quality and TTM.
Monitor cross-functional product cost target setting
Perform management reporting
Lead Continuous improvements
Defining and implementing way of working for product cost improvement
Act as an ambassador in the relevant DNEW design organizations
Drive Cost of sales Way of Working improvement within R&D/product development organization
Challenge existing Ways of Working if inefficient or not leading to actionable results
Contribute to internal efficiency gains and tools development
Assess how Cost Engineering and other Ways of Thinking/methodologies/methods can contribute to CoS improvements
Act project manager for improvement initiatives on assignment basis
Manage workshops related to CoS improvement activities
Contribute to benchmarking against competitors and other industries
Promote knowledge sharing of best practices
To be successful in the role you should have
Education: BSc in Engineering or business or equivalent
Min 8 years of experience in the field
Experience as a team leader
Innovating, adapting and responding to change and Change management
Technical and commercial experience
An established network and understanding across the Design, Supply and Sourcing organizations
Experience from interaction with senior management stakeholders
Product development knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management knowledge
English proficiency, both written an oral (management presentations)
Additional major languages are an advantage
