Business Unit Manager for Energy Transmission Systems, Siemens Solna or Västerås

The Challenge

We are now looking for a Country Business Unit Manager for Energy Transmission Systems. Your main responsibility will be to steer, develop and manage the organization in Sweden which includes a business volume of 50 - 100 million euro and a team size of 40-50 engineers. Since we have exciting new business opportunities, we expect the team to grow with 20 % in the coming years. 

In this position you will: 

• Define and ensure the implementation of the strategy as aligned with the business unit

• Become the sought-after partner of TSOs, DSOs and other Transmissions Solutions customers

• Drive key opportunities and projects to sustainable maintain and grow market penetration

• Manage teams of Sales, Project Management, Tender Management, Engineering

• Control project execution to keep targeted profit level and minimize nonconformance cost 

• Develop necessary competences within your area of responsibility and improve the overall competitiveness

• Cooperate with relevant internal and external stakeholders

• Report to the Regional Business Unit Lead Europe located in Germany

Who are you? 

We think that you have some, if not all, of these attributes: 

• At least 10 years of experience in the power transmission industry 

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or comparable

• Technical understanding of the related portfolio high voltage transmission

• Background and experience in larger solution projects or EPC projects e.g.  in energy, infrastructure or industries

• Good knowledge about the power transmission market in Sweden

• Strong in implementation and execution as well as results driven

• Extensive management experience in leading teams of diverse nature

• Good communication skills, ability to energize 

• Should be proficient in English and Swedish (verbal & written)

• Must be prepared to travel both nationally and internationally
