Country Lead EHS & Q Specialist

-To help develop and implement the company`s BOS (Business Operating System) relating to Environment, Health Safety and Quality management system covering the service delivery and local account organization.

-To support the Country management team in delivering a safe working environment which complies with relevant EU Directives and local legislation and that the overall system meets various international standards (e.g. OHSAS 18 000, ISO 9 001, ISO 14 001) and aligns with relevant customer requirements.

-To be an active contributor to the EMEA wide Quality and EHS networks, identify and share best practices from within the country and to participate in EMEA wide initiatives.

-To identify areas for improvements and to work closely with the Country management team to create a risk free working environment.

Principle Duties/Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure country EHS Management systems remain in compliance with EMEA requirements, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 (or other state-of-the-art Management systems)
- Represent JCI at country level in EHS delivery and management.
- Identify, develop and implement new EHS initiatives across country
- Audit and report on country EHS performance
- Support and provide guidance to country and account EHS staff
- Provide training or arrange training for EHS contacts
- Ensure timely and accurate EHS data administration
- Support business development and develop (new) client EHS solutions within the country
- Ensure country JCI and client EHS Management System expectations are aligned before new accounts go live.
- Plan, budget and manage approved budget for EHS operations and initiatives at country level
- Sound interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate (written & verbal) clearly & effectively at all levels whilst maintaining a proactive self motivated approach.
- Meet periodically with client country EHS function to review and discuss JCI EHS practices and performance.

Preferred education/Work Experience:
- Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science or equivalence.
- A minimum of 5 years professional EHS experience, 3 - 5 years Quality experience
- Knowledge of managing H&S & Quality policy in Sweden
- Experience in strategic planning for H&S applications, procedures and operating practices
- Evidence of applying professional advice, guidance, practical assistance & support to Executives in country
- Track record in compiling standards, operating procedures
- Proven record in designing and implementing training programmes for company staffs.
- Experience in conducting investigations and reviews of incidents/accidents and dealing with statutory bodies/authorities.
- Experience in design and implement corporate Audits & Reviews programmes
- Experience in implementing various communication strategies and campaigns across numerous accounts/sites
- Good relations with a variety of National bodies
- Experience in dealing with high levels of the country organisation and with key clients organisations.
- Ability to focus on key issues and, where appropriate, work under pressure within fixed timetables is also a pre-requisite of the job. Other necessary qualities include self-motivation, willingness to learn new skills and listen to ideas, ability to get on with people and develop working relationships and prioritise tasks to meet required objectives.
