Country Manager Sweden

Dragon Mining is currently seeking an experienced Country Manager for its Swedish Operations, with a focal point at the Svartliden Production Centre in Västerbotten County, northern Sweden. The position will be responsible for all of Dragon Mining’s activities in Sweden, driving continual improvement in safety, environmental performance, and profitability.  The position is part of the Dragon Mining Group Executive Management Team and you will be actively involved in the Groups International Operations and Business Development reporting directly to Dragon Mining’s Executive Director.

Key Objectives will involve the continued development of the Svartliden Production Centre operations including the treatment of gold concentrates from Dragon Mining’s Gold Mines in Finland and developing the business of processing gold concentrates from external sources. Parallel with the gold processing operations in Svartliden the Country Manager will also be responsible for bringing the Fäboliden Gold Project into production.

Success will be achieved through clear and efficient leadership of the Svartliden Organisation.  Time and cost effective coordination of external consultants and legal advisors to achieve required permits, and ultimately the recruitment of a motivated and skilled team to bring the Fäboliden Gold Project into production. Having secured the long-term profitability and sustainability of the Svartliden Production Centre, cash generated will be diverted to exploration and other growth and value adding opportunity’s to further enhance shareholder value.

Experience and skills set required includes at least 10 years experience from relevant mining or mine project development work, an understanding of the entire mining business from exploration to minerals processing with developed professional skills within geology and mining in particular. Previous experience in environmental permitting of mining operations is critical along with fluency in both Swedish and English. Leadership and Management experience together with general Business Administration skills are also a requirement.
