What You´ll Do

As Country Purchasing Manager you and your team will work and collaborate through interface to production, engineering, quality but also to business areas for development of future products and platforms.

You will be main purchasing representative for direct material at Veoneer Sweden and responsible for projects, local sourcing and managing the assigned supply base. You will manage and supervise purchasing members, such as Category buyers as well as Project buyers. Support them in their work and the establishment of their key activities and responsibilities for the respective designated areas.

You will lead the interface to Production Plant in Vårgårda that includes sourcing plans, supplier capacity, secure pricing, agreements and strategic activities.

As Country Purchasing Manager your major responsibilities are:

- Local Supply Base Management (e.g. Selection, Pre-Qualification, Development, Rating, Consolidation and Working Capital.)

- Secure team´s compliance with Global Standards, Process Maps & Procedures

- Department budget and Purchasing & KPI reporting

- Drive country purchasing activities and purchasing targets

- Plan staffing levels and maintain employee work schedules and work load

- Secure a safe work environment where the work can be carried out without risk of ill health or accidents.

- To Coach, mentor, and develop staff. Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action

To be successful in this position, we believe that you have:

- Documented experience as purchasing manager in the automotive sector and/or electronic industry

- Experience in leading sourcing, sourcing decisions, negotiations, strategic analysis and managing a supply base.

- Experience of purchasing of electronic components and a basic technical know-how

- Good analytical skills and data-driven approach

- Strong verbal and written communication in Swedish and in English.

- Ability to practice a high level of confidentiality

- General knowledge of various employment laws and practices and employee

Education

- University degree in economics, purchasing, engineering or other relevant education. Additional education in Business Administration is a merit
