Course Owner and Trainer

Seco is continuing to develop the competence of their staff. This is done amongst other activities by focusing on the global sales teams (front end, internal sales, product and marketing teams) with classroom training by internal and external trainers. In order to support, facilitate and achieve the strategic goals of the sales organization, we want to add an additional position to strengthen this function of training and coaching sales staff internationally.

Key performance areas
As a Course Owner and Trainer you develop the methods to impart the skills of The Seco Way of Selling with VBS, commercial understanding and internal commercial processes and sales tools. You will also be a facilitator for the training sessions and a coach for the individuals, in order to help them achieve their goals through the methods of the Seco Way of Selling. Furthermore, your responsibilities include to:
- Analyze the particular needs of the respective sales teams globally
- Develop matching training modules, documentation, material, training scripts and exercises
- Develop and maintain existing sales training modules and documentation to further enhance the Seco strategy
- Provide the concept and conduct train-the-trainer elements for the global network
- Feed the internal channels with information and news to keep the spirit alive: e.g., intranet and blog
- Support and coach the Local Course Owners and Trainers and sales managers in executing training
- Report the local status of use and achievements to the local sales manager and the Manager of Seco Academy of Sales
- Collect, manage and maintain the requirements and continue development of the learning@seco platform with respect to the supplier cornerstone
- Participate in meetings of the global team of Course Owners and Trainers

This position involves at considerable travel time: sometimes as much as 50% or 10 travel days per month or more if you are not stationed in Fagersta or Västerås.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with at least five years' experience from previous positions in either management, marketing, technical support or sales. We expect you to have thorough knowledge of related manufacturing issues, technical management and development of technical solutions for the customer is a prerequisite for this role, as is thorough knowledge of cutting technologies and processes and Seco products, services and solutions. Furthermore, you have good command of English with excellent presentation skills and additional language knowledge.

As a person you are self-motivated and can work independently, but are also a team player, sharing information and experience. Additionally, you have the ability to change roles from team player to leader. You have a consultative and friendly approach and are experienced in giving and taking feedback. You have the ability to observe and describe technical errors or short-comings (rather than interpreting production results). Furthermore you are courageous, energetic and consistent, with a clear focus on goals. It is also important that you are a strong role model for the practice of Seco's values and leadership attitudes.
