Job description
We are looking for a consultant for an interesting role in the COVID-19 assessment team at AstraZeneca, Gothenburg.
In the Gothenburg COVID-19 assessment Lab, they perform COVID-19 PCR testing of samples from colleagues working at all AstraZeneca sites in Sweden. To deliver the required capacity for PCR assessments, the Lab is currently operating in two shifts, spanning from 7 am to 9 pm, Mondays to Saturdays. They are operating under a high quality standard and they are in the process of certifying the lab to ISO 17025 standards. Therefore, we are looking for a candidate as COVID-19 Laboratory Project Coordinator as until year end.

Responsibilities
The Laboratory Project Coordinator will be collaborating with the Lab team to ensure the work processes are kept according to standards set in the ISO 17025 accreditation and will report to the Sweden COVID-19 Assessment Laboratory Head. The Laboratory Project Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include:
Onboarding new personal
Ensuring all staff are documented and compliant regarding mandatory training
Daily, weekly reporting as required by ISO 17025
Responsible for weekly lab team meetings, agenda and notes
Reporting deviations from standards in quality systems
Supporting Lab Head regarding quality and SHE issue reporting
Weekly reporting to internal stakeholders as well as Swedish Health Authority (Folkhälsomyndigheten)
As member of the PCR Sweden team, ensure issues and changes to routines are communicated both to and from the lab team
Point of contact for the Assessment Centers for ad hoc questions eg. regarding sampling kits, transport of samples between lab and assessment center, daily lab capacity etc.
Holding regular meetings with Health Care Providers (HCP) providing opportunity for feedback on the process
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills and enjoys working with people in an dynamic environment
Enjoys planning, reporting and as strong attention to detail
Strong multitasking skills
Enjoys working across functions and geographies
Desirable: Previous experience in working in a regulated laboratory environment
