Position Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Crash Safety Attribute Leader who will champion crash safety for our Energy Storage System. In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, ensuring that our ESS meets all necessary legal, internal, and customer requirements. You will drive the long-term roadmap for crash safety, evaluating requirement fulfillment through simulations (CAE) and physical testing. Join us in creating a safer and more inclusive future for transportation.
Responsibilities:
Define crash safety requirements for the Energy Storage System, ensuring that the system design aligns with these requirements throughout the development process.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate them into the crash safety roadmap, fostering a culture of inclusivity and diverse perspectives.


Ensure compliance with all legal and internal safety requirements, taking into account the unique concerns and considerations of different stakeholders.


Evaluate the fulfillment of attribute requirements during the project's development phases, leveraging simulations (CAE) as well as physical testing methods.


Create and oversee the execution of a comprehensive physical test plan to validate the crash safety performance of the Energy Storage System.


Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing among diverse team members.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any identified issues and drive continuous improvement in crash safety performance, fostering a culture of innovation.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.


Extensive experience in crash safety attribute leadership within the automotive or related industry, with a track record of promoting diversity and inclusivity.


In-depth knowledge of crash safety requirements, regulations, and testing methodologies, applying them in a manner that addresses the diverse needs and concerns of stakeholders.
Strong understanding of CAE tools and their application in crash simulations, using them to develop inclusive and comprehensive safety strategies.


Proven track record of successfully delivering crash safety requirements for complex systems while championing diversity and inclusivity.


Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, fostering an environment where diverse perspectives are valued and heard.


Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, leveraging the unique strengths of each team member.


Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, driven by a passion for creating safe and inclusive transportation solutions.
Fluent spoken and written English.
