Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Wanted: Technical sales engineer who want to develop new solutions and work close to Scania’s customers!
Customized solutions for trucks is an important and growing area where Scania aims to fulfil specific customer’s demands and to enter new segments and markets. Our section is responsible for the development of customized trucks in areas from alternative fuels and electrification to specialized applications such as mining, heavy haulage and fire trucks. Everything we do starts with a direct customer request. At our section we strive for a work environment where we help and trust each other and where all skills and experiences are utilized in the best way possible.
Now you have the chance to work within the Active S-order Coaching (ASC) team where you will have close contact to Scania´s distributors and customers in order to increase the S-order volume. We are searching for new ASC team members to several of our groups at the section so go ahead and apply if your profile matches!
About the group
In the ASC team you, together with your colleagues across Customized truck development and Sales&marketing, will be faced with developing technical solutions in smaller assignments where time to market is critical. Where you sometimes have to look beyond the normal way of working and/or dare to try new things to achieve the customers’ demands and time plans. You will work as a direct link between R&D and market and will, during time, gather as broad knowledge about trucks and customer needs.
The team consists of five technical sales engineer and two seniors engineers, and we are based both in Södertälje and in a satellite office in Liljeholmen, Stockholm.
Your assignment
As a member of the ASC team your main focus will be to help our distributors with sales support and technical solutions to fulfil the customer demands. Often the customer requests is connected to an open tender with a given deadline, which forces you to compromise – use the modular system, skip a step in a process, mount parts at customer etc. to enable that the truck can be delivered on time. Other times it can be enough to just update a certificate or provide some information to satisfy the customer. The key is to understand the customer demands and the broader picture – as that guides us to the smartest solution.
To obtain a good and healthy relationship with our distributors, visits will be a part of the job.
Your Profile
Since we are working with a range of markets around the world, we are looking for you with good communication skills who is not afraid of initiating contact. You are a positive, social and driven person that loves to work in teams rather than by yourself and you can see the benefits of working cross functional. A strive for new experiences and challenges are something that you take for granted, which gives space for new possibilities and solutions. The daily work is agile which require that you are flexible in your way of working. To really thrive in this role you should strive for good enough rather than perfect. Today’s assignments might not be tomorrows.
• You are an engineer, or equivalent, in Integrated Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering or similar.
• You have experience in development and/or production.
• Knowledge about Scania’s products and modular system is highly meriting.
• Work experience from similar positions and tools such as OAS and Catia is also meriting.
Application
We look forward to receiving your application including a CV, cover letter and copies of degrees and certificates. Selections will be done on an ongoing basis.
