The Role
In this role you will support our VFS Region Europe North & Central VP Credit & Risk in credit & risk evaluation (write-ups) and follow-up. You will be part of a great team and report to the VP Credit & Risk. The position is located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Your Focus will be...
To support VP Credit &Risk in monthly tracking of portfolio quality of the Region in terms of different KPIs amongst which overdues, inventory, Loss-Given-Default (severities), etc.
To provide analysis to support automatization of routine credit and risk activities (special focus on Automated Credit Engine)
To support the other colleagues of Region North & Central (HQ and market) in cross-functional projects/collaboration
Your Responsibilities
Initial analysis/summary of credit requests submitted by the markets to the Regional Credit Board (NCCB)
Responsible for coordination and support for the markets on the credit underwriting process for existing and new products
The generation of monthly credit risk reports regarding overall portfolio quality (includes portfolio grading mix, Top customers performance, Watch lists, risk trends of new credit originations, etc.)
Detailed analyses on inventory levels and losses – per brand and business area
Provide analysis for the development of credit scorecards and grading models to support VFS objective to optimize the utilization of our automated credit engine in the markets within the region
We’re Looking for the Following Education and Experience
Academic degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering or economics with a specialization in a quantitative subject such as econometrics / data analytics
Previous experience of working with credit risk data or business control data
Minimum 3 years of experience from the financial services industry, consulting firm or regulator
In this Position You Will Also Need
Innovative problem solving and strong analytical and quantitative abilities
Strong evidence of personal initiative and outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English. Nordic and German languages are extra merit
Ability and desire to work within a team environment, including cross-functional teams
Proven social skills, and good ability on relationships and interaction with different markets
Self-organization and strong commitment to get your own tasks done
Proficient with MS Office, with advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of developing reports in Business Intelligence Tools such as Qlikview and Power BI are a plus
