Scania Credit (SCA), a Scania Financial Services (SFS) business unit (BU), serves customers, dealers, and distributors in more than 15 different markets through local leasing companies or cross-border financing. The Head Office/Market Support center is based in Södertälje, supporting the local markets with governance, management, administration, and systems. In the markets where we operate, Scania Credit is financing more than two-thirds of Scania’s sales. Our dedicated colleagues manage a portfolio consisting of trucks, buses, coaches, and trailers representing 195 MEURO of assets.
Scania Credit Group is structured into four regions: Ukraine, CIS region, Middle East, and West Africa. In addition to this SCA is running Distributor Financing and Factoring solutions to non-captive distributors in different parts of the world.
As a Credit Risk Manager you will be part of the Management team, responsible for developing the credit risk function in line with the strategy of Scania and SCA. The Credit Risk department in Södertälje consists of 6 employees working with credit underwriting, credit control, AML and continuous development of processes and systems in close cooperation with other functions within the company. The Credit Risk Manager have the functional responsibility of the credit control within the group, which means that business related trips to Scania Credit Markets are required. You will report to the Managing Director.
The position is based at Scania Credit AB’s main office in Södertälje.
Main responsibilities
Your primary task will be to establish a successful team, fulfilling challenging expectations in your area of responsibility in close cooperation with the rest of the organization.
Your responsibility will to steer and guide the development of the credit department for supporting profitable growth of SCA portfolio, combined with balanced credit risk decisions, continuous improvement of lead times and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also take an active part in driving the success of Scania Credit both in current markets and by supporting investigation of new markets, products and risk partners. You will have the overall responsibility of SCA underwriting and asset management process.
The position offers many opportunities to conduct projects and improvement work related to the credit underwriting process and systems.
Scania Credit is currently investigating platforms for underwriting in order to reduce lead times and automatization of credit decisions. Experience in system implementation/development will be an advantage and experience in defining and implementing new processes will be of high importance.

As a leader you have:
• a strong interest and ambition to develop the individuals as well as the team to the next level, for the purpose of bringing value to all stakeholders
• strategic mind-set to drive the development of the department as well as the company
• 5-10 years of relevant underwriting experience
• excellent communication skills in English (Swedish is also very welcome)
• relevant university degree
