Gunnebo Industries, since 2019 part of the Crosby Group, manufactures products such as crane blocks, wire rope sheaves, chain lifting components, shackles and lashing products. Our products are well known and established on the market as a premium product with outstanding safety.
Putting safety as top-priority and to ensure continued world-class EHS performance, the Crosby Group is now seeking a EMEA EHS Officer to the Gunnebo Industries plant in Växjö.
Essential duties and responsibilities
As EHS Officer you are responsible for environmental, health, and safety in the EMEA region. You will identify and communicate the environmental, health, and safety requirements for Crosby EMEA. Working with Site Managers, Site EHS, business teams, and others, this position develops and executes plans and activities to ensure compliance and alignment with Crosby EMEA Operation goals, priorities and resources. You will work across the organization to build, implement, and maintain a global workplace culture of accountability and commitment to the goal of zero injuries and incidents and world class EHS performance. You will manage and coordinate initiatives, processes and performance and you need to ensure that the SHE function, systems and procedures, meets the needs of the business and in doing so, understands and meets the requirements and concerns of our customers.
Organizationally you will report to the Crosby EMEA Operations Director. As EMEA EHS Officer your area of responsibility will include all European plants, which currently amounts to 13 production units. Since much of the cruicial work is done on European production sites and business sites, this position requires about 50% travel.
Your profile
We consider that you have the practical working knowledge of Health and Safety tools and techniques together with specialist knowledge and understanding of relevant standards, legislation, codes of practice, guidance, and operating procedures. You possess effective project management skills with proven ability to implement change, engaging others in the organization as necessary.
As a person, you are result-oriented with strong analytical skills, and you maintain a holistic approach, combined with the necessary ability to rapidly identify essential details. You show willpower, drive and you enjoy working in a fast pace and dynamic environment, focused on results. You are an excellent communicator, and you have the ability to co-operate with colleagues and stakeholders on all levels.
Qualification requirements Bachelor's Degree in a related area or equivalent combination of education and relevant field experience.
Preferred Master's Degree in relevant field
Preferred HS certification or applicable certification desired
Minimum of 10 years of industry experience
Project management
Lean manufacturing
Fluent in English (preferably also French or German)
Ability to travel up to 50%
