Our brand-new CTO will get complete ownership of the enterprise-wide technology needs at DW. Wow, right? And guess what, we really mean ownership. This means you will be the main person of our tech operations, and strategy, to support our mission in becoming a world-leading accessory brand from a technical standpoint. We are proud of how we have built our company with tech solutions in mind, but we know that for us to succeed we need to stick to our tradition of being pioneers. You will, together with the executive team, drive the company’s strategy into the future. We expect you to have a big impact through bringing your knowledge and future vision to leverage information and technology in business model design, business processes, and operational improvements. Through your passion for leadership and the field you are in, you will influence your peers, your teams, and other departments to find new ways of working.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
If we try to be a bit more concrete, we’ll list a few things we (think) you will work with:
- Set the vision and strategy of the tech organization to foster an open, inclusive, dynamic, and mission-oriented culture and mindset
- Launch new projects, new systems, new vendor solutions and provides direction to cross-functional teams
- Serves as a trusted advisor; builds and maintain relationships with other executives to understand business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of services to meet those needs
- Provides strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation, and support of systems, including enterprise architecture management, application management, security, and risk management, and infrastructure and operations support management
- Design the organization and staff accordingly. Develop and maintains a workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge and technical skills required to achieve business objectives
- Provides leadership, coaching, and direction to the department’s leadership team and staff
- Stay current on new technologies and provide direction to the team on emerging technologies
- Build a creative and innovative environment where you experiment with new solutions to take advantage of opportunities
- Build and lead a world-class organization that has a high sense of urgency, is customer-obsessed, and exceptionally responsive to our ever-changing world
