Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Connectivity at Scania is one of the key components in Scania “driving the shift” strategy. At Connected Systems, we develop and operate Scanias IoT solution. It span from in-vehicle, via Telecom to the Scania back-end platform.
Scania is one of Stockholm’s largest software companies and we build our software around a product that weighs over 3,5 ton, traveling in 90 km/h and that is the blood vein of our society (the transport system).
Connectivity in general is all about Data. Data in large volumes in a flexible and usable way is a key success factor for organisations that want to survive the digital shift. Scania today have over 600.000 (and counting) vehicles and other products connected online. The department Connected Systems is looking for curious developers to help us drive the development of new connectivity solutions in our projects within electrification, autonomy and data streaming.

The data we provide supports many different applications such as customer tools for fleet management and workshop tools for remote troubleshooting of vehicles. You will take part in ensuring that our solutions have the right robustness, performance and scalability to support Scania’s transformation to be truly data driven.
As a developer in our stream-aligned team you will develop both in our embedded system(C++) as well as in our back-end(python in AWS). We believe that we can create the best solutions if we as a team has control of the entire IoT solution in the vehicle as well as in our backend. To enable us to take this end-to-end responsibility we have teams that supports us with delivery engineering and platform capabilities.
We work with a DevOps responsibility and we take pride in providing a quality service to our consumers.
