Curious developer to Connected systems at Scania R&D

Come and join our Connected systems department that are responsible for the development of new connectivity in our project within electrification, autonomy and data streaming. We develop and operate Scanias IoT solution. It span from in-vehicle, via Telecom to the Scania back-end platform. We work with a DevOps responsibility and we take pride in providing a quality service to our consumers.

YOU WILL
As a Developer for Connected systems, You will be a part of a Devops team that owns Scanias data streaming and master data storage solution. The solution continuously collecting data from vehicles around the globe 24/7. We provide the data to the rest ofthe organization through our interfaces.

We are responsible for the entire data pipeline from the vehicle all the way to our internal consumers. This means that you will have the opportunity to develop software in our trucks as well as in our back-end.

Typical tasks are to:

- Do coding in our current data pipline. Improving CI/CD and non functional requirements sush as improved fault tolerance, latency and responsetimes.
- Develop our next generation of data pipline Design new APIs together with our internal stakeholders. Set up monitoring on our solution. Set up data storage to fulfill different needs.
- Implementing unit tests and do functional testing. Functional tests are sometimes done in our trucks that are under development.
- Evalaute your results by working close to the product, you will often implement and test your deliveries in lab as well as in vehicles.

YOU ARE

Most likely the person who loves to code and work close to your product. You are in your element when you get to come up with ideas that improve the code and when you get to influence the entire development workflow.

- Have several years of experience in python programming or are novice python developer but experienced in other high-level language like C# or Java.

- Have at least 2 years of experience of software development on AWS

- You love to get the variation from developing both in vehicle and in backend depending what is most prioritized in the backlog

- English language skills to be fluent in both writing and speech

It is a plus if you have:

- Any experience with Linux

- Been programming with C++

- Basic Swedish skills
