With a product portfolio containing both add-on components for top performing classical robots, as well as new robot designs with record breaking reach, speed, and precision, we help our customers improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency by providing top performing robot solutions for new and existing industrial processes.
About the job
You will join a creative team of 30 hand-picked robot designers, motion control and software experts. We work in a modern office in Lund equipped with labs for practical verifications developing state-of-the-art industrial robots. Your main task will be to bring the new HKM robot into practical use by improving the robot, designing robot automation cells together with our sales teams and customers. We work in several exciting industries including both logistics, ecommerce and advanced manufacturing.
We believe our robot will excel mostly in material handling applications where the record-breaking reach and speed of the robot help customers improve in productivity. To sell and deploy our new innovative robots, we need to put the robot strengths into a customer context, scope it and deliver a complete robot cell.
With your automation background you are able to identify automation possibilities at customer sites and design solutions in detail based on our HKM robot using 3D modelling and visualization tools.
We work closely with customers and partners and expect you to build close relationships and take the initiative to create technical solutions that help us to communicate and illustrate our customer values.
Main Responsibilities
• Visualize customer applications with a digital twin and describe the technical advantages of an automation solution with Cognibotics new HKM robot.
• At order, design the technical customer solution, based on identified customer values.
• Participate in application validation and technical tests and actively lead proof-of-concept and deployment projects with our customers. This includes making test preparations, execute factory acceptance tests and customer site acceptance tests.
• Collaborate and understand partner components such as vision, robot tools, conveyers, warehouse management systems etc.
• Capture feedback and implement customer improvement suggestions for the robot arm.

Your background and qualifications
To succeed in this small fast moving technological company we believe you are:
• Customer oriented and enjoy creating robot automation solutions that meet customer needs.
• Experienced in Solidworks, CAD for electrical design and 3D modelling/offline robot programming tools.
• Flexible for changes and enjoy taking on new tasks.
• Experienced from designing warehouse automation or general robot material handling applications with conveyers, tools, vision etc is a strong merit.
• Experienced from Beckhoff TwinCat3, robot programming, PLCs and other automation equipment is an advantage.
• Willing to travel and work at customer sites from time to time and to work overtime to meet customer project commitments.
• Our initial customers are likely in Sweden. Understanding and speaking swedish is required.
We also believe you have always had a great overall technical interest that you have put into practice which helps you finding pragmatic, practical and simple solutions for robot automation solutions. Furthermore, you have a technical degree from the university and a strong internal drive that helps you meeting deadlines.
