The Central Marketing Technology Team is a cross-functional team, marrying high technical skills with extensive understanding of the marketing fundamentals. The team aim to bring future leading-edge marketing and advertising technology to life, by maintaining a central data infrastructure, which enables Volvo Cars to keep customers at heart & the customer data journey at centre.
The Central MarTech team is a future center of excellence in the wider global Marketing & Brand organization. The team works in close collaboration with global/regional marketing, analytics & online business teams and across commercial/enterprise business units.
The challenge we offer
As the Customer Data Strategy Lead, you will play a critical role in defining, communicating and driving the strategic methodology to enable the use of CRM/customer data in marketing activation across Volvo Cars globally.
You will collaborate widely across the business to transform and optimize our ways of working, to develop the framework & roadmap essential for a customer oriented and data driven marketing approach.
You drive robust and mature decision making around using customer data as a commercial asset, while understanding the commercial and legal implications of data compliance & consent.
Further you will align with the regional markets to steer business requirements to drive adoption and deployment of the customer data strategy across the organization.
You will be given the opportunity to work with like-minded professionals, like yourself, set on a course to transform marketing as we know it today.
Competence and experience are important, but personality and potential are key
The team is now expanding, and we are looking for a team player with a pragmatic can-do attitude. In this role, it’s your ambition, experience & strategic drive that comes to matter.
You have profound experience in CRM and Salesforce marketing platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing/Sales Cloud, Salesforce DMP etc.) and a proven track record of using 1:st party data among media channels across the marketing funnel.
Altogether, we are looking for you …who will bring expertise and experience with customer data frameworks, martech/adtech and data compliance, to enable and optimize our capabilities, tactics and ultimately our strategic approach to reaching customers & prospects.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in CRM data and marketing/media.
• 3+ years of experience in marketing/advertising technology, supposedly in a CRM lead role
• Experience in data management platforms (e.g. DMP, CDP) & lead management.
• Ability to diagnose, assess & organize complex data intensive architectures & structures.
• Deep understanding of web, marketing/advertising and e-commerce systems.
• Great understanding of analytics tools & reporting.
• Excellent communications, presentation & stakeholder management skills.
• Experience from working in a global/regional organization with international workflows

You will report to Head of MarTech, Data & Analytics and the position is primarily based in Gothenburg, Sweden, but could be up for discussion.
