Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Autonomous technology is one of the vital enablers for this transformation. After several years of research and development in autonomous technology Scania is now looking for a colleague to reinforce our customer engagement team within Autonomous solutions.

About the role

The customer engagement role is highly flexible and will include building a collaborative network across Scania organization both in Södertälje but also with the concerned business units, partners and customers. You will be part of a team of experienced customer engagement managers. The customer engagement team is commercially responsible for customer initiatives, from evaluating leads to agree with customer on the solution and terms until the solution is delivered and runs in operations. For this specific role we are looking for a Customer engagement manager who will help us scale the autonomous mining business.

We are working in an agile way in close cooperation with our research and development team developing the autonomous solution in partnership like relationship with our customers. As a customer engagement manager you are responsible for the relations with the customer throughout the complete customer journey including prospecting and finding the optimum solution for the customer needs, negotiation and ensure deliveries according to agreement.

Your profile

For this role we are looking for a person that is curious and keen on problem-solving with a pragmatic and solution-minded attitude. We want you to have extensive knowledge and experience of the mining segment. We expect you to keep yourself updated on the latest developments in mining and contribute actively in activities within your field of expertise.

You need to be highly communicative and have the ability to adapt your message to both technical and business audiences with a high degree of creativity, self-confidence and persuasiveness and being able to communicate at various levels throughout an organization. You are goal oriented with a commercial mindset and the ability to identify opportunities and challenges and break them down to business demands, needs and action. You take charge of an assignment and make sure the customer gets the optimum solution based on their needs, which you often also help them to find out and articulate.

Requirements


• University degree from technical and/or business education
• Previous experience from system and/or solution sales
• Previous experience of mining business
• Previous experience of working with projects and/or managing cross functional stake holders is meriting
• Fluency in English, written and spoken
